Students face different challenges at every stage of their academic journey—from middle school and high school to college and post-graduate studies. Quapaw Nation Higher Education is offering the Wellness, Advocacy & Life Skills Series to support students and families with practical tools that extend beyond the classroom.
This March series focuses on three key areas that contribute to long-term academic and personal success: wellness, independence, and advocacy. Each class is designed to provide guidance that students and families can apply immediately, regardless of academic level.
Supporting Student Wellness
The Self-Care Classes focus on managing stress, preventing burnout, and building healthy routines. These skills are especially important for students balancing coursework, work responsibilities, family obligations, and long-term academic goals. Learning how to care for mental and emotional well-being helps students stay focused, motivated, and resilient.
Building Independence and Life Skills
The Living on Your Own class addresses essential life skills that support independence. From decision-making to managing responsibilities, these topics are valuable for students preparing for college, transitioning into adulthood, or navigating post-graduate life. Developing these skills helps students build confidence both academically and personally.
Advocating for Student Success
The Advocate for Your Child class provides families with strategies to support students within educational and community systems. Advocacy plays an important role at all levels, including post-secondary education, where un
derstanding resources and communication channels can directly impact student success.
Flexible Access for All Participants
Classes are offered in-person and virtually, making them accessible to students and families with varying schedules and commitments. By offering multiple learning options, Quapaw Nation Higher Education continues to support educational growth at every stage.
