The Quapaw Nation Higher Education Department, under the leadership of Krista Pierce, is offering two Scholarship Workshops on August 6 and 20, 2025, from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Quapaw Nation Community Building, located at 5681 S 630 Rd, Quapaw, OK 74363.
Open to high school, undergraduate, and graduate students, these sessions are designed to help participants effectively search for scholarships, understand the application process, and meet deadlines. Attendees will also gain insight into what scholarship reviewers are looking for and how to avoid common mistakes.
These efforts are part of a broader initiative led by Krista Pierce, who continues to coordinate multiple educational events year-round to support Quapaw Nation youth in their academic growth and professional development.
Workshops like these are proven to make a difference. According to the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), around 72% of undergraduate students receive financial aid, including grants and scholarships. Yet many students still miss out due to a lack of guidance. Local, hands-on workshops help close that gap by providing real tools and support that lead to increased access to funding opportunities.
Registration is required.
