On Saturday, September 20, 2025, the Quapaw Nation Marshal Service will host an Oklahoma Hunter Education class in Miami, OK. This full-day session (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM) at the Ki-Ho-Ta Conference Room will guide participants through everything from hunting safety and responsibility to conservation and wildlife knowledge.
Why These Classes Matter
Hunter education programs have made a real difference in Oklahoma. Over the past few decades, they’ve helped reduce hunting accidents by more than half. These classes give hunters—both new and experienced—the tools they need to stay safe, respect the land, and protect wildlife for future generations.
For the community, this means fewer accidents, stronger conservation practices, and a shared respect for nature. It’s not just about passing a test—it’s about building a culture of responsibility outdoors.

The Role of the Marshal Service
The Quapaw Nation Marshal Service plays a big role in making this possible. By hosting and supporting this program, they’re creating a safe, welcoming space for people to learn. Their involvement shows how much they value community well-being—not just through law enforcement, but through education, safety training, and conservation outreach.
When local families attend a class run by their own Marshal Service, there’s a sense of trust and connection that makes learning even more impactful.
